The Office of the Chief Registrar is manned by a Legal practitioner who serves as the Accounting Officer of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and performs administrative duties. The position of the Chief Registrar is in the same ranking with the Permanent Secretary in other sectors of the Public Service of the federation.

It is the statutory duty of the Chief Registrar to administer all the Departments of the FCT – High Court. The current Chief Registrar of the Court is Mrs. Hadiza Mohammed Dodo. She was until her appointment the Executive Secretary, Judicial Service Committee, Federal Capital Territory.  She is also the Probate Registrar and Deputy Sheriff, and has directly under her office the under listed Unit:

• Internal Audit
• FCT – High Court Clinic
• Judicial Research Centre
• Protocol (Welfare)
